Live Scribing for Respiratory Nursing Collaboration
As a live illustrator and graphic recorder, I recently had the opportunity to support a strategic evaluation meeting with a group of respiratory nurses working in General Practice across the NHS in the South East of England. Their pilot project, funded by the Burdett Trust for Nursing, focused on how to upskill general practice nurses in caring for patients with long-term breathing conditions.
The brief was to distill the most pertinent findings from the pilot and advocate for future work…
Working in real time, I provided live scribing to capture key insights, challenges and ideas as they emerged during the discussion. Using visual thinking techniques, I distilled complex conversations into a clear, engaging illustration, transforming spoken ideas into a visual summary that was easy to reference and share.
The final live illustration reflected the team’s collective thinking and will now be used to communicate their shared vision, priorities, and next steps to stakeholders within the healthcare and nursing education sector.

This project is a great example of how visual note-taking and graphic recording for healthcare teams can support collaboration, deepen engagement and create lasting visual records of important conversations.
It was a privilege to support this meeting and the vital work the project leads are doing to improve patient outcomes in this area.
